DONATION HONORS VICTIMS OF THE 1 OCTOBER TRAGEDY, AND IS AN IMPORTANT REMINDER THAT THE NEED FOR BLOOD NEVER ENDS
WHAT: Inspired by coworkers personally impacted by the 1 October tragedy, employees of Ei Companies raised $5,000 for United Blood Services to support its life-saving mission. Ei Companies leadership and employees will present a check to United Blood Services. Ei Companies will also host an employee blood drive.

ABOUT: During the hours and days following the shooting at Route 91 Harvest Festival on 1 October, the Las Vegas community showed a tremendous amount of support by lining up for hours to donate blood at United Blood Services. Six months have now passed, and Ei Companies’ $5,000 donation and employee blood drive are an important reminder that the need for blood never ends.
Blood only has a shelf life of 42 days and must be available immediately, whether for large-scale emergencies or for regular blood transfusions needed by cancer patients.
